This glamorous 1950s vintage swing jacket features a free form wide-sweeping A-line silhouette with wide half sleeves, classic collar, large lightweight gold buttons, interesting back yoke and extra-large pockets. Unlined and without stretch, the muted light rose red/salmon pink color features a black paisley and brush stroke-like gold metallic print. The Tranella Rayon fabric is very unique and unlike any Rayon fabric I've come across...it's lightweight, structured and crisp, semi-sheer when held up to the light looking from the inside out...it's quite lovely!
The interior seams are all pinked which dates this to the 1950s and potentially earlier. The label looks quite old as well and I searched high and low for information on the brand and what was likely a signature fabric, but with no luck. This has been hand washed. Some shedding of minuscule gold particulates released into the water when washing and when rubbed both before and after washing. They are very small, almost like talc, not glitter, so it will likely be totally unnoticeable. Aside from this the jacket appears totally unworn...there are no holes, rips, wear to any edges or seams. All of the buttons are intact. If this is the style you are searching for, you'll love this beautiful specimen!
