Incredible 1970s vintage Native American 4 Point style wool blanket coat in neutral beige and tan tones. Thin wool body with gorgeous shaggy gray and brown coyote (assumed) fur cuffs and collar. Heavy solid brass handcrafted clasp with thread loop closure at the waist. This clasp is engraved with the date 1972 and name Laurie. Unlined, somewhat thin raw and minimally processed wool speckled throughout. The collar is attached via small hidden elastic loops and buttons. The two visible buttons on the collar are metal bronze tone with an embossed crest image.
The weave of the wool collar beneath the fur collar has unraveled a bit at the corner of the edges. The fur sleeve cuffs show the fabric backing along the edge. All edges of the wool are raw/unhemmed and the interior center and armhole seams have been serged.
This unique coat may have been handmade or custom made, I've never seen anything quite like it. It's in wonderful vintage condition free from odors, stains or other issues.
