Very old, very gorgeous 1950s-60s (could be even earlier than this) vintage black and silver metallic floral caftan.
The exterior layer is lightweight and opaque black rayon with a silver metallic brocade-like weave which adds a bit of weight.
The lining is thin black rayon and is very lightweight.
The fabric does not stretch and there is no elastic.
Slightly gathered shoulders, flared, bracelet-length sleeves.
Wide sweeping A-line silhouette.
Front and center metal-toothed zipper closure with tasseled zipper pull.
The gathered shoulder seams have some broken silver threads from the stitching process.
The lining has a few very small minor snags that I only noticed when holding the fabric up to the light.
This is quite a statement piece and doesn't appear to have been worn much over the years.
It's in beautiful vintage condition, has been cleaned, and is ready to be loved for a lifetime...
