This amazing true 1960s vintage set is in a nearly neon yellow chartreuse with lavender and rose pink mod print throughout. This magical set features a one-piece skirted romper-swimsuit, matching belt, and matching lightweight long sleeve blouse jacket. Made of light to midweight silky opaque Acetate, the fabric is crisp with slight gloss and does not stretch. The swimsuit has button adjustable shoulder straps, darted bust, a built-in bra with firm cups with an adjustable stretchy elastic inner strap, cinched stretchy elastic waistband, belt loops, pleated mini skirt and roomy full coverage bottom with elastic leg openings. The elastic here has lost about 80% of the stretch but they were designed gathered and are not overly loose fitting when worn. The swimsuit secures in the back with a nylon back zipper. The belts buckle is discolored, a bit rusty from its metal backing I assume. The matching top is unlined, collared with long sleeves with buttons that secure the cuffs and front. The elastic back directly beneath the bra cups has lost its stretch, but the back strap is perfectly stretchy so it doesn't create any fit or comfort issues. The interfacing along the interior of the neckline and at the center of the bra is slightly discolored but it totally unnoticeable when worn. There is one line that appears to be color transfer near the backside of the swimsuit I've circled in the 4th photo. Despite the subtle and less than perfect details I've noted, this set really is in excellent condition (especially for its age of over 50 years old!) and it looks and feels amazing on...I KNOW you'll love it!! : )
