This is truly a rare, one of a kind classic 1980s video game themed three piece set from an unknown designer, from an unknown location...I have researched high and low and cannot determine where this magical outfit came from. The novelty maze and iconic game character design and high quality knit had me thinking it could be Betsey Johnson Alley Cat but I never found this exact set. There are cropped sweater tops and skirts of the same silhouette but they are different patterns. It also looks like something Moschino might make. It has no fabric labels either but it's midweight, super soft and springy, sewn and knitted to absolute perfection. The fabric is not a cheap repro of something high end...it IS high end. Pale pink, neon yellow-green (think high vis workwear) and black video game pattern cover the well designed silhouette with comfortable length and stretch. All three pieces are unlined and slip on with no closures. The top is slightly cropped in length, the open front cardigan is long, the skirt is high waisted and falls at or below the knee and has a stretchy waistband. There is no wear on any of the three pieces. If you're a gamer chick or rock the aesthetic, this is a must have outfit for Comicon or similar events.
